 We welcome Tim Brooks!
About Tim
Tim has been a patron and a member of the JCPF for many years and we know him as a highly conscientious and deeply committed psychic. We are delighted he has the time to provide Tarot course services to the JCPF. Like Sheree Jones he teaches the Rider Waite Pack as this deck is widely recognised as teaching standard enabling pupils to move to other packs of their choice as and when thereafter. Interest in learning Tarot is high and currently we have pupils wanting to start. With Sheree unable to begin another course programme until September October time what better time to introduce another teacher!
Tim is a local full-time professional Tarot Reader based in Emsworth. He is a Moderator for TABI (Tarot Association of the British Isles) and a Tarot Professionals ACE (Accredited & Certified Excellence). He has developed psychically over many years including a number of mediumistic development courses with the JCPF.
During 20 years of study and 14 years as a professional reader Tim continues to explore and learn of the wondrous paths of knowledge and understanding revealed by the Tarot.
The JCPF Introductory Tarot course
In this 12 week introduction to Tarot Tim guides you through the meanings of all 78 cards. That is all the 22 Major Arcana cards, the 4 Minor Arcana suits and all the court cards. You will be shown how to do simple 1 and 3 card readings, plus become familiar with the 10 card Celtic Cross spread and be able to do accurate readings for yourself and others. Tim believes that once someone has started on the journey to learn the Tarot it is a never ending journey of self discovery and new adventures. Join Tim and start your journey on Monday 21st June 2010 at The Buckland Community Centre North End.
The course uses The Rider Tarot Deck and is a combination of tutor based instruction with handouts and practical exercises with some fun homework to be conducted between sessions. Students are encouraged to practice and do their own exploring of this fascinating subject between sessions to get the most out of it. No previous knowledge of the Tarot is required, although an interest and an inquisitive mind a definite advantage.

 Tarot for Beginners
Go on admit it! The ancient Tarot has a fascination to us all and hard to resist. Many famous diviners have used the Tarot to predict events as have fairground gypsies over centuries. Now you can learn it both to help yourself and astonish your friends -and maybe become a professional yourself! Our teacher's Tim Brooks and Sheree Jones teach the Rider Waite pack, a highly respected set used widely by professional tarot readers. The course begins with an introduction to Tarot. What is Tarot? A Tarot primer to help you see that Tarot is much more than a deck of cards. Some history, psychology and symbolism. Using the Tarot to learn about yourself. What do you see in the cards? in this twelve week course you will learn what the cards mean, how to interpret and provide readings for others -just the start you need to feel you are getting somewhere.
