AstrologyWhat is Astrology?
Astrology is the study of the influence that distant cosmic objects, usually stars and planets in our own solar system have on living beings -normally human lives but can also be interpreted for animals, plants and locations also. The position of the sun, stars, moon and planets at the time of people's birth (not their conception) is said to advise destiny, shape personality, affect romantic relationships and predict economic fortunes, among other divinations.
What most people know about astrology is their "sign," which refers to one of the 12 constellations of the zodiac. This is a form of sun-sign astrology, which is the astrology upon which newspaper horoscopes are based. It is probably the simplest form, because nothing more than the date of someone's birthday is needed to generate a sun-sign horoscope. Many astrologers will tell you that this form of astrology is so simplistic that it produces very limited results.
To produce a more accurate reading, astrologers check to see what and where each planet was in at the time of birth. The planets and signs combine with other elements, such as houses and angles, to form a complex and often very specific profile of a subject's personality, life and future prospects.
There is no single unified theory or practice of astrology. Ancient cultures all practiced their own forms, some of which combined and evolved into today's common western astrology. Eastern cultures continue to practice their own forms of astrology: Chinese, Vedic and Tibetan astrology are among the most well-known. Even within western astrology, there is a considerable diversity of methods and philosophies. Some divide astrology by the end result that is intended: Mundane Astrology - This is used to examine world events and make predictions about national affairs, wars and economies. Interrogatory Astrology - This branch can be further subdivided, but generally refers to astrology that seeks to make specific predictions or analyses about the subject's objectives or events within the subject's life. Natal Astrology - This is what most people think of when they think of astrology. This popular form of Astrology seeks to make predictions and analyses based on the date of a person's birth. It's based on the idea that everything that happens to something is expressed at the very beginning of that thing, sometimes known as the Law of Beginnings.

Astrology and Mediumship Astrology in simple terms is the interpretation of planetary influences, just as man has many levels of being so also all other forms of life, including the planets. Over millennium Astrologers have noted the actions of people, animals and the environment generally in respect of planetary alignments and recorded their findings. This has become a body of evidence that Astrologers use today as a guide to understanding their charts, but by itself it is not enough because the variations within a chart of the heavens at a given point of time in relationship to an individual or event are infinite. History is not enough -interpretation must also be given. You can tell from the writings of many famous Astrologers, like Nostradamus, that they were also mediumistic. Mediumship is achieved first by a shift in consciousness that enables the medium to access higher vibrational states of existence and secondly by their ability to interpret what they experience for the benefit of their recipients. An Astrologer who is also a medium is able to see within the chart of planetary influences indications of change peculiar to an individual and event at that given moment in time. So if you are wondering how it is that certain Astrologers can be so uncannily accurate -now you know!

Are you psychic enough to be an Astrologer?
The short answer to the question -is that you are though you may not know it. The rational minds' developments begin very early even before we learn to walk but as you may have noticed (or maybe even remember) youngsters live in an immediate world much more so than us grown ups. A very young personality's' memory is short on specifics -they live in a momentary world in which their intuitive faculty dominates their expressions. As we get older we tend to push this capability to the back of our minds as we evolve in the physical world; objective realisations develop, patterns of behaviour are remembered and logical thinking becomes the order of the day.
But you will have your moments; unexplained hunches, prophetic dreams, inexplicable insights into other people and events. You may even experience a loud inner voice advising or defining; you may have flashes of clairvoyance -pictures that appear unasked for on the back plate of the mind. You may smell an odour or perfume not recognised by anyone else; you may have a déjà vu experience you cannot explain. A great many intuitional moments are not recognised at all -we thinking they are the product of our imaginative minds.
